This year Masterpiece London launches MASTERPIECE PRESENTS, a new large-scale dedicated exhibition space which will transform the fair’s entrance. For the 2017 edition, Masterpiece presents an installation created specifically for the fair by artist Iván Navarro, commissioned by Paul Kasmin Gallery.

Philip Hewat-Jaboor, the fair’s Chairman says “Masterpiece has always offered collectors the opportunity to view and buy masterworks from antiquity to the present day, and we are thrilled that this year we are stretching boundaries, with our most contemporary work for sale being a brand new installation by renowned Chilean artist Iván Navarro."

Navarro is known internationally for his socio-politically charged sculptures of neon, fluorescent and incandescent light. He represented Chile at the 53rd Venice Biennale and his work is held in the public and private collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, LVMH Collection, Saatchi Collection, Fundación ARCO and Borusan Contemporary Art Collection.
