Sculptor and Royal Academician, Eva Rothschild, will be discussing her work with the Royal Academy’s Director of Exhibitions, Andrea Tarsia. Eva and Andrea will explore Eva’s latest exhibition, Our Life, Our Sweetness and Our Hope at Modern Art, her large-scale public sculptures, and the influence of modernist sculpture on her work.

Eva Rothschild RA
Eva Rothschild was born in Dublin, Ireland, 1971 and currently lives and works in London. Since 2014, she was elected RA, Royal Academy of Arts, London. Eva represented Ireland at La Biennale di Venezia, 58th International Art Exhibition 2019 and was awarded the 13th Robert Jacobsen Prize for sculpture in 2019. Recent public commissions include ‘My World and Your World’ 2020 for The King’s Cross Project, London; 'Double Rainbow’ for The Central Bank of Ireland, Dublin 2021 and Saddler’s Wells East Bank, Stratford, London due for completion 2022.

Andrea Tarsia oversees the delivery and development of the Royal Academy’s world-renowned exhibitions programme. He trained in Art History and Film, specialising in post-war and contemporary art. Tarsia previously worked for the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Whitechapel Gallery, among others, and curated many critically acclaimed international exhibitions. He has also contributed to numerous publications and scholarly catalogues and while at the Whitechapel, he helped devise and taught on an MA Course in Curating, in conjunction with London Metropolitan University. He has been a guest lecturer at several universities and art colleges across the UK.
