Verdura Jewellery/ Belperron Jewellery

Established in New York in 1939 with the financial backing of Cole Porter and Vincent Astor, Verdura celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Fulco, Duke di Verdura, started his jewellery career in the 1920s in Paris with Coco Chanel for whom he created his signature Maltese Cross cuffs. Venturing to America in 1934, he designed for Hollywood stars of the era including Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. After opening on Fifth Avenue, Fulco quickly gained a following among New York's best dressed. He continued working until 1973 and left an archive of nearly ten thousand designs which Verdura are still manufacturing today. In London, Verdura exhibits with Harry Fane in Bruton Street, London W1J.
